Editor's Take

No April Fool's Work!

In the book of Isaiah, the prophet talks about being God's servant. In this same spirit, we take this opportunity to offer ourselves here at SME.com.ph as servants to the country's small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Isaiah speaks about 'a covenant of the people, a light for the nations, to open the eyes of the blind, to bring out prisoners from confinement, and from the dungeon, those who live in darkness.'

We at SME.com.ph willingly take on the responsibility as servants. Our mission is not simply to provide winning technologies and services to SMEs, but also to inspire Filipinos to aggressively venture into business. Each new business contributes to the alleviation of poverty and improvement in the quality of people's lives.

In this time of the year, we offer our prayers as well as our continued support in order to lead our brethren from a culture of dependence and transform them into independent, productive and enterprising citizens.

We do not call this April Fool's work, but a modest contribution to the nation's growth.
