Are you Ready to Dream?
Businesses are born out of an entrepreneur's dream; this much we know. Successful enterprises however, see more than satisfying a proprietor's will-ó-wisp; they raise the bar and challenge themselves to fulfill other people's dreams - their customers.
Dreams are more than figments of imagination. Dreams - colorful, sometimes even whimsical, give business the competitive advantage to dip into their creative buckets and come up with products and services that not only satisfy the needs; but more so, create an opportunity to help clients become the best that they want to be.
The fact of the matter is customers buy products suited for their needs. Best products however go the extra dream-mile. They create important experience for the consumer. Dreams make it possible for that extra "Umph!" It is your product's Added Value; that awesome feature that sets it apart from mere functionality.
Tragically, most products lack that punch and dwindle to become a "common" commodity. There is nothing necessarily wrong with being common. However, you will agree with me that best business practice calls for mere "need fulfillment."
Dream hard, dream big, dream beautiful - but the next time you do, there is no need to close your eyes.
