Editor's Take

Seize the Time!

By recent indications, the business climate in this country is bound to be bright.

And while much of this 7-plus percent rate of growth is driven by consumer spending, remittances and public investment in infrastructure, this development represents a fresh turn from gloomy scenarios of the recent past.

We won’t deny the possibility of a grey cloud or two coming in this direction, but who’s complaining? SME owners and marketers aren’t the kind to hem and haw while there’s sunshine.   Like any good fishers, SMEs will be first to race across the blue water and cast their lines and nets.

Consumer confidence is up and the growth of middle class affluence is evident.

As periods of clear skies and calm seas might be brief, there is no better time to take stock of things and plan for the long haul, but also seize those opportunities as they come along.
